| You know, it seems ironic to me that when I was in high school, summer was never long enough. But now that I'm in college, I'm practically counting down the days until school starts again. Funny how that works
This summer's actually pretty excellent, though, not gonna lie. Since I'm up at Purdue, I get to see my friends on a much more regular basis than I did when I was just staying at home. I'm working a lot less hours than I usually do (owing mostly to the fact that I already worked like crazy all spring, and I got a little burned out ) and my class only meets three days a week, so I have lots of days to sleep in. MUCH better than last summer, when I was waking up every day at 6 and working 50ish hours a week.
So yup, life is good. Marco even managed to finish a race this week. Added bonuses like that are always nice.
| Good morning!!!
I decided to post now since I'm waiting on the Gersh to come pick me up for the road trip to Tennessee! Woot. It kinda ended being a celestial family thing, but I think that was just coincidence. Meh, it's still exciting and fun. AND it means I get to spend some of my money instead of working. YAY!!
Not much else is going on, really. I got a job as a cashier at University Bookstore, which is probably just as amazing as you would think it would be. It's actually not that bad, and even better is the part where I'll only be working part-time.
I ran the mini-marathon last Saturday! That was pretty fun. I almost died, but I felt really good once my legs regained feeling. Now I just have to wait for these disgusting blisters to clear up.....and next time buy nicer shoes.
Ummm, what else? Classes start in a week. That'll be different, since I've never taken summer classes up here. The classes I'm taking aren't anything I really care about, so hopefully I won't get too bored....
I think that's about it, just wanted to drop in to say hi. Hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of summer!
| I know this is going to sound stupid and overly dramatic. But then again, it is me, so probably you're not so shocked.
I just don't understand how we're supposed to live like this. People being shot in colleges, in high schools, planes running into buildings....why on earth does everyone have to hate so much? What could cause you to be so angry that you'd be willing to sacrifice the lives of 32 people just so you can have your revenge on the world? There is no justification for taking even one life without cause, but thirty-two....Or however many thousands in the World Trade Center.
It's incredibly overwhelming, incredibly terrifying and incredibly heartbreaking. I can't understand why...
| I need a person. I used to have three people, and now I don't have anyone. I need a person... | | |
